SHOPPE OBJECT New York Summer 2026 Starrett-Lehigh Building
Returning on August 2nd to the 4th, the twice-a-year premier gift, decor and artistic trade show Shoppe Object New York hosted its largest and most attended event to date at West Chelsea’s historic Starrett-Lehigh Building, filling the light-filled 3rd and 4th floors of the 2.3 million-square-foot industrial-modernist landmark. Designed by Yasuo Matsui and completed in 1931 as a freight terminal featuring massive train and truck elevators, this 19-story structure gained international acclaim in MoMA’s 1932 “International Style” exhibition and remains celebrated for its iconic ribbon windows. The record-breaking show drew a year-over-year increase in traffic of nearly 10 percent. It featured over 900 exhibitors from 56 countries, with 55 percent international and more than half selecting the event as their exclusive U.S. showcase. The diverse turnout included buyers, interior designers, and media from 42 countries across six continents, reflecting the organization’s strategy to expand globally while keeping the user experience central.

Exploring Shoppe Object for over five hours across two floors was barely enough time to properly connect with all the compelling brands. This event is more than a standard trade show; it is an essential gathering for those who deeply value inspired, well-made products. Expanding from its original roots in New York City and now to Paris, Shoppe Object has established itself as the premier destination for taste making merchants and editors.

Anood Scents at SHOPPE OBJECT New York Summer 2026
Anood Scents is inspired by the traditions, rituals, and memories of founder Alanood Al Khalifa’s past and present life in Bahrain. Alanood rediscovered her love for perfumery during the global COVID lockdown. In that quiet stretch of time, she returned to the scents that shaped her—the roses, the jasmine, oud, frankincense, and amber—and felt her passion reignite. Together with New York–based perfumer Gustavo Romero of Team of Two Perfumers and founder of the Fragrance Alliance Network, it bridges the richness of Middle Eastern heritage with the artistry of Western perfumery. In 2025, she introduced her debut scent trio that is crafted to transform personal stories through a contemporary olfactive lens. Deep Dive1 pays tribute to Bahrain’s storied pearl-diving heritage, capturing the mystery and fresh allure of the deep sea. Sunny 7, a floral-gourmand, is a love letter to her beloved grandmother and playful afternoons of her childhood in the sun. Thorny 6, a grounded woody floral, draws inspiration from Middle Eastern wedding traditions and the enduring promise of love and commitment. Each fragrance carries a number inspired by numerology—adding a subtle layer of energy, symbolism, and individuality to the collection.
