Vivamor Parfums Self Made by Olya Bar
The launch of Self Made by Vivamor Parfums is today, May 29th and is under the creative direction of Steven Gavrielatos, (also our colleague, dear friend and ÇaFleureBon video contributor) better known to most fragrance lovers as Redolessence. And while the fragrance itself is bound to capture many hearts, or perhaps more fittingly noses, what makes this release especially interesting is the emotional narrative behind it.

Because Self Made does not feel like a vanity project. It feels personal.
Steven’s journey within the fragrance industry is one many enthusiasts have witnessed in real time over the years. From building one of the most recognizable fragrance review platforms online to developing an impressive perfume collection numbering in the thousands, he slowly transformed personal passion into an entire career and brand ecosystem of his own. In an industry where authenticity is increasingly difficult to maintain once commercial success enters the picture, Steven managed to retain the enthusiasm and emotional connection that made audiences gravitate toward him in the first place.

And that emotional connection sits at the core of Self Made.
The title itself could easily be misunderstood as self-congratulatory, but the fragrance actually moves in the opposite direction. Rather than celebrating status alone, Vivamor Parfums Self Made feels more like an ode to perseverance, to everyone who quietly built something for themselves despite setbacks, uncertainty, rejection or hardship. Recently, Steven posted a video inviting followers to share moments that made them feel proud of themselves, and the responses were unexpectedly emotional. Some spoke about career and education milestones, others about surviving difficult periods, rebuilding relationships, overcoming illness, becoming parents or simply making it through challenging years. Big victories sat alongside deeply personal quiet ones.
That is what makes the concept resonate. Success no longer feels defined solely by wealth or visibility. Increasingly, people define success emotionally: finding peace, stability, confidence, creative freedom or simply becoming the version of themselves they once hoped they could be. Self Made taps into that shift beautifully. And perhaps fittingly, the fragrance itself feels comforting in exactly that way.

At first spray, Vivamor Parfums Self Made immediately introduces a creamy coconut milk accord wrapped in maple syrup sweetness, creating a warm almost sunlit softness right from the opening moments. There is something deeply addictive about the contrast here, airy yet decadent, fluffy yet dense. The sweetness never veers aggressively sugary; instead, it feels textured, almost like warm skin after dessert lingering in the air. As the fragrance develops, the tuberose arrives in full force, but not in the traditionally sharp or overly green way many white florals tend to unfold. This is a fleshy, creamy, almost glowing tuberose, saturated in lactonic warmth and softened into something incredibly wearable. The floral heart feels expansive and plush, almost fabric-like in texture, draping itself over the skin rather than sitting above it. It carries the same emotional softness that defines many of today’s most successful modern gourmand florals: comforting, sensual and atmospheric rather than overtly loud. The dry down may ultimately be where Self Made becomes most emotionally addictive. Praline and toffee melt slowly into a musky base, creating a warm edible haze that clings closely to the skin for hours. There is a coziness to it, but also a polished sensuality. The musks prevent the sweetness from becoming heavy, allowing the fragrance to maintain an airy diffusion despite the richness underneath.
In many ways, Vivamor Self Made feels perfectly aligned with the current emotional direction of modern perfumery. Consumers are increasingly gravitating toward fragrances that feel soft, enveloping and emotionally reassuring, perfumes less concerned with projection alone and more interested in texture, atmosphere and intimacy. Self Made understands that balance very well. It wears almost like a comforting layer against the skin: creamy, musky, edible and softly luminous.
But beyond the notes themselves, what lingers most is the emotional sincerity behind the release. The fragrance does not simply celebrate success as spectacle. It celebrates survival, growth and the deeply personal victories people carry quietly within themselves.
And perhaps that is why Self Made feels so easy to fall in love with.
