Mancera Ombre Tonka began with suggestion from perfumer Pierre Montale’s daughter and artistic director, Amélie, for a pistachio perfume. He was immediately intrigued with her idea and composed a  a fragrance that is built around  the concept of contrasts of light and shadows. Unlike many modern pistachio scents that lean towards ‘bakery-sweet,’ the nuttiness here is creamy and subtle, providing a smooth segue way into the heavier resins – Michelyn
